On Sunday December 19, we’ll start our stream at 2:30pm PT with our virtual pre-concert lecture (with gratitude to Sean MacLean and Classical KING FM 98.1). Karen P. Thomas, Artistic Director and Conductor, will be in the chat to answer any additional questions you might have. Our concert broadcast will start just after 3pm PT.

O Magnum Mysterium
B.E. Boykin

A contemporary setting of a traditional Christmas text by the Atlanta-based composer, conductor, and pianist B.E. Boykin. Sung in Latin.

Ave Maria
Nathaniel Dett

A richly chromatic setting by the famed Canadian-American Black composer, pianist, conductor, poet, and music professor. Sung in Latin.

Domine Jesu
José Mauricio Nunes Garcia

This Afro-Brazilian composer wrote the first Brazilian opera, as well as hundreds of choral and orchestral works. Sung in Latin.

Accessibility at our venues:

Seattle First Baptist Church is accessible for those with mobility issues - they may enter via the glass doors on Harvard (between Seneca and Spring) to use the elevator; there is also a passenger drop-off zone located just outside these doors. Once the choir has completed warmups in the sanctuary, the ramp from the parking lot on Seneca and Boylston may be used by any who need it and have tickets in hand.  

Bastyr University Chapel is accessible for those with mobility issues - the church is on the same level as the large parking lot, and there is a passenger drop-off zone with a ramp located outside the main doors.
